Quiz Night in Leymen
A super night was had by all at the L'Ange Restaurant in Leymen - with tricky questions, delicious food and a fun competitive atmosphere! Thank you to all those who bravely came to pit their wits against fellow teams and who gave very generously too.
We raised at least CHF 1'300 - Incredible!
Huge thank you to Sjoukje and Claire for organizing, to Richard our Quiz master for keeping us all in order and to the friendly staff at L'Ange. We'd like to make this an annual event - so look out for the next quiz night!
Multilingualism - Myths & Realities, Questions and Answers
Held at Ahead With English school, Therwil with Joy Pénard, a trained speech-language pathologist. Thank you to Joy for giving us a fascinating insight into the research and findings of multilingualism in children. Thank you also to those who came and asked such interesting questions - a very informative and enjoyable evening which helped raise money for ASA. A must go to when Joy talks again for us - highly recommended for all parents!
Craft & Chat at Ahead With English school in Therwil hosted by Pallavi Roe
Over 25 people came and made beautiful Holiday cards and enjoyed Mulled wine and a wonderful Apéro supplied by our super supporters! Thank you to Pallavi and her helpers for providing some great creative ideas to inspire us and raise money for ASA.
Afternoon Tea and Tour at Kloster Mariastein - Round 2!
With beautiful weather, wonderful company and the generosity of the helpers, bakers, musicians, Father Armin and the monastery and of course all who came and bought tickets, this latest fundraising event was another success!
Special Thanks to Father Armin, Lisa Falcigno, Sophie's Cupcakes and to the Musicians: Dimitri Gamboni, Yann Hauri and Emil Schuler. Also to all our helpers and those behind the scenes.
Sponsored Spelling Event at Ahead With English school
The whole school participated in a sponsored spell event, collecting money for every correctly spelled word the children had learned.
The school raised a FANTASTIC total of CHF 4'303.90 for ASA!
A big thank you to the children, teachers, friends and families of the school for their hard work and generosity in making this such a successful fundraiser.
A wonderful example of children helping other children through education.

Caipirinhas and pão de queijo
We were excited to be at the ISB International Fair in Reinach.
Thank you to everyone who visited and supported our stand at the ISB Fair on Saturday. Also a big Thank you to Lima for making incredible Caipirinhas all day long!
We made money and new friends for ASA too.
Our Auction highlighted the FUN in FUNdraising with live music, an apéro, and light-hearted bidding on some fabulous items – including a one-year subscription to Basel Life Magazine, paintings by local artists, tickets to the Basel Symphony, Pathé Movie Theaters, an FCB game, cooking classes, Polish Pottery and much, much more.
